Kara & Cory and Northern Bay!

Hey!!!  So I have to make this a quick post as we have been having random computer problems.  Boo...but we just had a great couple of weeks!  This summer is absolutely FLYING by!  The day after my parents left, my sister Kara and brother in law Cory came for a visit!  I LOVE when they come!  We have tons of fun with them and laugh a lot.  Here we are at the lake!

Then we went on our annual trip with our family friends to Northern Bay!  We had a ton of fun again but did miss Josh and Heather (who are expecting their first baby soon!)
I love how our families are so close and Ryan and I had 3 girls...and then Shane and Jody had 1 girl....and then our their side... Zach and Heidi have 3 boys...and Heidi's sister Heather is expecting her first boy.  So fun  that they are like brothers and sisters! :) (Tyler, Hailey, Braden, Emily, Addison)

We had an "Olympic Tournament" with lots of lawn games and card games.  Here I am totally focused on lawn dice. :)

Then guess who won the Olympic gold medal?  Me!  Although if I would have known that I would have to stand there and have everyone sing the National Anthem to me, I may have tried NOT to win. :)

This summer is FLYING by!  Last week, my parents came into town to visit!  It is always so good to see them and I especially love when the girls get to know and play with them too.  We took them up to the lake and had a blast.  The weather was great and we had a fun relaxing time together.  My dad did however, break the new visitor record and swam across the lake!  Not bad for a grandpa!! :)  He says he could have swam back too.  :)  I kayaked out with him to make sure boats could see him and then we BOTH hopped into the one-seater kayak to head back home.  Something does NOT work well when you try to kayak with two people in the boat.  For whatever reason, when you paddle on the left, you know you're supposed to go to the right, but when you have two people in, you paddle left and GO LEFT!  This totally messes with your head!!  So it took us FOREVER to get back because for one, we kept going in circles, kept almost tipping, and it's much harder paddling with the extra weight and waves from the boats!  My poor dad swam the whole lake and then had to paddle us all the way back since I was struggling to not go in circles and he was doing much better than I was.  So funny though!!

They left yesterday and now I'm about ready to pick up my sister and brother in law in a little bit!  Can't wait to see them toooo!!!

So much fun

We've been up at the lake again! :)  In June, a few of my friends and I had a girls weekend!  Then as soon as we got home, the guys left to do a ton of golfing and then spend a little time up there too!  

Then we had our family friends up there :)  Kim and Kathy had Jeff and Dawn and then we had Jeff & Dawn's daughter's family Heidi (and Zach) and their 3 boys up!  So neat to have 3 generations of friends. :)

 We have some GREAT neighbors up there!  They took the girls tubing for the first time...and then they let us borrow their boat for a whole day!!  It was great!!  Here is Hailey - such a pro at tubing... :)
My brave little girl even tried water skiing!  I can't believe she wanted to try it out....but she was very excited about it!  So we let her try.  She was done after the first try though :) ...but she says she wants to try again when her legs are a little bigger. :)

 So when Shane and Jody were there, we took them to this local ice cream shop called the "Milty Wilty."  Oh my....it was quite the place...and then we just happened to be there when a local Elvis impersonator was there!  He sang a bunch of songs and danced around.  We didn't want to make eye contact! :)
