No bedrest!

Yup - that's right - no bedrest! I can't believe it! I'm 29 weeks...30 on Monday...and my Dr. said she sees no reason to put me on bedrest yet! So that's great! :) She says I'm doing very well, blood pressure is great - no swelling yet - cervix is strong - and no contractions so she started saying things like I might go to 37 weeks (which is the farthest she'd let me go)! That's CRAZY talk! But whatever is best for the babies. :) I've been feeling BIG. And more uncomfortable all the time. It's harder to bend over now...and rolling over at night is a big challenge on top of getting out of bed at least 5 times a night for a run to the bathroom. I get tired a lot quicker now too...but all of this I can handle! So no complaining here. :)
So, now on to our baby girls! :) They are doing WONDERFUL! Praise God! :) Baby A STILL thinks she's the only one in there as she weighs big for a singleton at a little over 3 lbs. Baby B and C are measuring right in line with a twin pregnancy at just under 3 lbs. So my Dr. said they are doing amazing! You could see them practicing breathing which was really cool and a good sign I guess. They ALL still have very long legs. Surprise surprise. :) And they're VERY active which is also great. At night, Ryan and I just stare at my stomach in awe. Ryan swears there are aliens in there because it looks so CRAZY to see my whole stomach jumping around on its own in tons of different places. So far, I absolutely love being pregnant though. It's such a cool miracle to be a part of and I love feeling them move around. :) We are SO amazed that things continue to go well and we hope and pray it continues! Just so you know, the first goal for triplets is to get to 28 weeks - then 32 weeks (average for triplets)- then 34 weeks (which is "full term" for triplets) and then my next goal would be to beat one of my friends who had her triplets at 35 weeks and 4 days. :) We'll see!

Another JOY for us lately is that Ryan just got a new job within his same company. He used to cover the East Coast and had to travel there every other week but in God's perfect timing, the WI/IA territory opened up, he interviewed, and got the job! So now he won't have to travel as far or as often! Daddy can be home for his little girls! YAY! :)
Thanks again for your prayers and support!!! We definitely know that God is listening!!! :) We will continue to keep you posted as things could change at any minute. Hugs all around! :)

26 weeks!

Well - time for another update on the girls! :) Baby A thinks she's the only one in there as she's BIG for a singleton weighing in at 2 lb. 6 ounces. :) (I'm 26 weeks along and Baby A is measuring over 27 weeks!) Baby B and Baby C are both 2 lbs and "normal" for a singleton weight so they're all doing wonderful! It is key that the identical girls are still the same weight. My doctor said she can't believe there's 3 that are so big in my stomach right now which is funny since she sees triplets all the time. :) Somehow they are squeezing in there! She said they will probably start slowing down now since they are running out of room. The girls moved around this time though....which I didn't think was possible but now Baby A is head down and the lowest...Baby B is also head down and right on top so I feel both Baby B and Baby A a lot...and then Baby C is head up and kind of in the back so I don't feel her as much. But they're all moving around a ton and having a ball in there! :) Sorry - no pictures this time because they are getting harder to read since all of their limbs cover everyone elses and it gets super confusing. :)

My doctors says I'm doing great! She's amazed that I haven't felt any contractions yet because many women do at 22 weeks. So - no bedrest yet! Woo-hoo! Although I do still need to take it easy and change positions every 20 minutes, eat a ton, etc. My doctor said she is VERY HAPPY! :) So, my next appointment isn't for another 3 weeks! But I guess anything could change at any minute. So we'll see!! :) Oh and I guess my stomach is measuring like a typical 34/35 week singleton mom....ahh! :)

We also met with the anesthesiologist and had a tour of the NICU. We saw one baby that was SOOO tiny...like 1 lb 5 ounces or something. SO SMALL but SO AMAZING!!

So - we're getting down to crunch time now approaching the 3rd trimester. Can't believe how fast this has all gone. Please continue praying for all of us. It is so comforting knowing that we are all in His hands. :)

23 weeks

Just thought I'd let you know that the girls are doing great! Kathy (my mother in law for those who don't know) and I just got back from another ultrasound and I'm SOOO thankful! The girls are looking BEAUTIFUL! :)

Baby Girl A
1 lb. 6 oz. (big even for a singleton!)
138 heartbeat which is good.

Baby Girl B
1 lb 2 oz. (still a good size)
140 heartbeat

Baby Girl C
1 lb 2 oz.
140 heartbeat

They were all so cute. B and C's heads were like RIGHT next to each other facing one another. Baby A keeps getting kicked in the face by Baby B. (as you'll see in the first pic) In the second pic you can see Baby C with Baby B's leg in the background. And Baby B was the only one cooperating for the close up 3-D picture. :) She looks like she has my pudgy nose and Ryan's big lips. :) My doctor said they all look great though and they have long legs! Oh boy! :) I am 23 weeks along and I'm still feeling really good. I feel them kicking A LOT more now and you can even watch my stomach move. I get more tired now and have to rest every afternoon and I get really tired around 8: 30p.m! But I can totally handle being tired. I'm just glad I'm feeling okay. :) My doctor said she often puts people on bedrest now but because I'm doing so well and my cervix looks good, she doesn't see a need to yet. So....my next appt is in 3 weeks!

We're keeping busy over here setting up cribs, buying triple decker strollers, putting together highchairs, carseats, jumperoos, you name it. :) I love getting the house ready for their big arrival. :)

Hope you are all doing well. Thanks for your love!

Shelly and her big girls! :)

21 weeks!

I thought I would try out "blogging" to keep everyone updated on our Triplet journey. So far, I've been feeling GREAT which I'm sooo thankful for. I hope and pray that continues for a long time yet! :) Last night was the first night that Ryan could feel one of the babies kicking so that was fun. I've been feeling movement (and more recently kicks) for 5 weeks already....
We're trying to get prepared more and more every day and we're keeping busy shopping for triplet strollers, rocking chairs, a minivan, you name it.
Thanks for ALL of your prayers. We know it is ALL God's grace that has already gotten us this far. Praise Him! :)
