Dinner Time

Monday, June 23, 2008

And the fun begins.... :)

So.....trouble is JUST around the corner I'm afraid.  :)  This morning I took the girls out of their cribs and set them on their pink rug to play while I hung up their clothes.  Then I took Addison downstairs....then a couple minutes later I went upstairs but only saw Hailey in the middle of the pink rug....WHERE did Emily go? :)

THERE SHE IS!!!!! :) :) :)  She was crackin' me up that she somehow got underneath the crib wedged in the corner.  She isn't crawling yet but she's obviously finding ways to move.  Crazy!
Then about an hour later, I was doing laundry or something and the girls were "playing" in the playroom.  It was pretty quiet so I thought I should check on them.  I go in there to find Hailey happy as a clam stuck inside of the number 8.  :)  The other two had managed to get into a whole set of "kitchen" toys that they aren't supposed to be playing with yet.  I'm beginning to get a glimpse of what this new "stage" is going to be like!

Here are the girls having fun playing together.  Emily - Addison - Hailey
All in line to sit on Daddy's lap.  (Emily - Addison- Hailey)

Outdoor Fun

Here the girls are swimming for the very first time!!!  They were NOT fond of the cold water at first but once they got used to it, they had fun! :)  Addy LOOOVVEED swimming.  We could have left her in there all day.  :)
This is how I manage to be able to pull any weeds.  I take tons of toys outside, then bring all the girls outside onto a blanket...and then they play together for a little while and watch me pull weeds.  :)
Here is Hailey on her first bike ride with Dad. :)

Photo-Op

Just thought I'd show you how many pictures it takes to get all 3 of them looking and semi-smiling for the camera.  I didn't even put the other 15 shots on here. :)

First Night Away

The above photo is my first set of outfits that were too small by the time I even got them out of the closet.  The girls are growing fast now!  Addison's hat wouldn't even fit over her head.....
Anyways, so Friday night was my first night away from the girls!  I went an hour north to spend the night on the lake with about 20 seniors from High School Youth Group for their Senior Retreat.  It was a blast and I'm going to miss those kids a lot next year.  I somehow managed to stay up til 4 a.m. and I didn't even worry about the girls!  :)  I came home around noon today and found the girls wearing Daddy's Titleist golfing hat and wearing their dresses on backwards with no "bloomers" underneath.  :)  Other than that though, they had a great time hanging out with Daddy. :)  It is so much fun now that the girls can sit up.  They can actually sit in a little triangle and "play" together.  They keep each other entertained for the most part until someone steals someone else's toy. Emily is sort of scooting around on her tummy a little bit so I'm starting to prepare my house for the circus to attack it. :)  It won't be long before they are crawling!  I'm excited for them to crawl, but then again, I don't know if I'm really ready to be chasing them all over the place.
Addy :)
Here is Emily having fun with the newspaper - a GREAT toy. :)

Our baby girls are sitting UP!!!

Ryan and I had a night out to a beautiful wedding in downtown Milwaukee.
Emily, Hailey, and Addy SITTING UP!!! :)

First of all, we are feeling MUCH better!  The minute we didn't have fevers anymore, it felt like we were perfectly healthy - even though we still had head colds.  But for the most part, we are over the hump of that round of colds!  Hopefully no more for a long time!
The exciting news though, is that the girls ALL started sitting up this week!  It's so fun now that they can sit in a circle to "play" together.  Now they can actually look at each other, steal each other's toys (believe me, it is ALREADY happening!), and entertain each other.  They just look so grown up sitting up like big girls!
Last night, we had a major storm and tons of flooding.  Most of our neighbors have mega water/sewer damage in their basements but we are so thankful to be on a hill - so we came out of the storm okay with no damage.  Phew!  We are so thankful!!  Other than that, not much else is new over here!
