Three miracles have arrived!!!!!

Wow. What a day!!!!!!!!!! I don't even know where to start. Shelly checked into the hospital yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, October 2nd) after she went in for her 31+ week check-up. She started feeling contractions more frequently and the doctors wanted to be cautious so we checked into the labor/delivery ward at St. Joe's Hospital in Milwaukee. She woke up this morning feeling okay but as the morning progressed it seemed like more and more doctors were coming into her room. She called me at work at 10:50 AM and said that it was time to go and the girls wanted out. At that point, I didn't even log off my computer and was running through the streets of downtown Milwaukee to the parking lot where my car was parked. Then, I proceeded to drive 60+ mph in a 35 mph zone to get to the hospital. I arrived there, put my scrubs on, and got into the operating room at 11:18 AM. The babies arrived one minute after another starting at 11:21 AM. I literally arrived just in the knick of time. The babies names, weights, and lengths are:
  • Baby A is the fraternal triplet named Addison Lee Dooyema and weighed in at 3 lbs. 12 ozs. and was 17 inches long
  • Baby B is the identical triplet to Baby C and her name is Emily Ann Dooyema and weighed in at 3 lbs. 1.5 ozs. and was 15 inches long
  • Baby C is the identical triplet to Baby B and her name is Hailey Grace Dooyema and weighed in at 3 lbs. 3.5 ozs. and was 16 inches long

All 3 are in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and are doing as well as can be expected for being born at 31.5 weeks. We covet your prayers and we will send pictures once we can download them. Thanks so much. We love all of you!

Dadio - Ryan

P.S. Shelly is resting now and will give another update tomorrow when she feels up to the task.

Congratulations - while you did not use the names I selected for you, the ones you chose are beautiful just like I am sure the girls are.

Hope you proud parents are doing ok.

Keep us posted.

Congratulations! We have all been anxiously awaiting the girls' arrival. God is so good! He has blessed you with three healthy and LONG baby girls! Elise still can't imagine three babies were inside Shelly's stomach. I guess she won't believe it until she sees Addison, Emily, and Hayley. I already told Grandma Mary that she'll have to watch my 2 girls, so I can help with your 3. What a trade-off. Congratulations, again!

Congratulations on being parents! I can't wait to meet all of them. They are so long.. wow, I'm still baffled that you had all 3 of them inside of you! Get the rest/sleep now, as your REM nights are very numbered.
