3 months

Our sweet Kacie Jane is three months old today!  Wow time flies!  I want it to slow down because I'm literally loving all baby time with Kacie!  She really is SUCH a gift and I seriously do thank God every day for her and for all my girls actually! :) I feel so blessed and really don't want to take it for granted!  

The big girls actually do change Kacie's diapers sometimes!  Poor girl gets a LOT of faces in her business but she does well with all the extra love and attention. :)  Usually the girls help each other change her like the pic below.  One holds her legs up...one puts the diaper under her ...one wipes...one throws the diaper away...one does one tab and someone else does the other tab. :)  So funny to me. :) 

 Kacie got to go on her second plane ride before she was 3 months old!  Lucky girl!  She went to San Francisco for Ryan's cousin's wedding!  She did great on the plane and slept most of the way!

 The big girls stayed at home with one of my former youth group girls who was home from college.  Her brother helped out too!  The girls had a great time with her!  Thanks Kate!!

 Our Saturdays have been very busy lately!  The girls do volleyball AND basketball on Saturdays so they sleep well at night! :)  They are loving both sports and it's so fun watching them learn them all.  Sooo makes me want to play again!! :)

 On the plane on the way home, there was an important Packer game on.  Ryan and Shane were pumped to be able to watch it on the plane.  Kacie got to listen to the commercials. :)

And here's my big 3 month old this morning!  She is definitely BIG too! :)  At 3 months Kacie loves to eat (still eats about every 2 1/2 hours), she LOVES to stand and has really strong legs. :)  She is a big talker too and can chat and coo for a long time if you keep talking back at her.  :)  She is very observant and loves watching her sisters.  She likes being held and facing out and she continues to like her carseat and usually falls asleep as soon as she's in the car.   Kacie is a great baby!  The past couple of weeks she's been sleeping like 8 or 9 p.m. til 5 a.m. Then back to sleep again until 7ish.  Kacie is also drooling a ton lately and having a number of blow outs. :)  She is overall a happy baby and I love her so much!!

 Last weekend we went up to the lake.  It was Kacie's first time!  I think she liked it. :)

 So thankful Grandma Kathy could come along and watch Kacie while we skied with the girls.  She even brought her to the lodge so I could feed her over lunch! :)  Nothing like nursing in your ski gear and winter coat!  :)  But it worked!  Winter family pic :)

Christmas and 2 months old!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!  

We had a wonderful Christmas with two sides of the family and feel so so blessed!  First we celebrated with Ryan's side.  The pic above is of the SIX GrandDAUGHTERS!  So fun!!!

We celebrated at Grandpa Kim and Grandma Kathy's house on Christmas Eve and had a great day!  

 Kacie's first Christmas!  And I do have to say she's the best gift I got this Christmas!  Really!  I LOVE her and LOVE having a baby around the house again! Sometimes I am rocking her and I truly feel so much joy just looking at her and holding her.  I still can't believe God actually gave me four girls to love and raise but I truly am thankful every day.

Then Christmas night we flew to Denver to celebrate with my side of the fam!  Kacie did great on the plane and was awake the whole time!  She's a trooper!

Now this is kinda crazy but here I am with my sis nursing our babies.  There is nothing better than being prego with your sis and having babies at the same time.  SO.  MUCH. FUN.  I really wish we lived closer!!

 The Baby KJs  (Kacie Jane and Kenton James)  Kenton was baptized when we were there!  It was beautiful and powerful and tear jerking to say the least!  Love you Kenton!!

 And look who's stylin' at 2 months! :)  We just had her 2 month appt today and she is HUGE!  Seriously off the charts!  She weighs 12 lbs 14 oz. and is in the 78th percentile and is 25 inches long and in the 99th percentile for height!  She is going to be super tall!  The Dr. couldn't believe how strong her legs were too and that she is looking like she's 5 months old!  She continues to eat for like 6 minutes every 2-3 hours (usually closer to 2 hours and 15 minutes - she's right on schedule usually) :)  And she sleeps pretty good too!  For a while she wouldn't GO to bed at night.  We'd put her down at 9:30 and then she wouldn't FALL asleep til midnight or so.  This was not a fun stretch.  But once she was down then she'd be good til 6 or 7 a.m. so not bad!  We started swaddling her again hoping that might help and it has!  Last night she slept from 10 p.m. - 5 a.m.!  Yay Kacie! :)
Kacie is smiling a bunch and cooing a lot.  I love seeing her talk and interact with her sisters.  I'm not sure what's cuter, seeing the girls talk baby talk to Kacie or seeing Kacie smile and kick and coo back at them. :)  She loves to stand and talks the most when she's laying on her back getting her diaper changed.  I'd say she's a pretty good baby and we love her tons!  I just want her to slow down because this newborn stage is flying by!! She is already transitioning into 3-6 month clothes!  Slow down Kacie Jane!!

 I got to see two of my good friends from high school.  My friend Sara's son Jack was born 5 days before Kacie!
