Ice!

For Christmas we bought the girls tickets to go to Disney on Ice. Boy are we all excited for real Disney World someday now. :) They LOVED it and were SO attentive. I thought they were going to cry of excitment when the first princess (Belle) came out. Belle is Emily's favorite princess so she got the BIGGEST smile on her face. It was too cute. :) Hailey and Addison loved it all too...but kept asking the WHOLE night where Sleeping Beauty (Hailey's fave) and Rapunzel (Addy's fave) were. They never showed up so I said they probably got the flu. :) They understood completely since the flu has been everywhere this winter. Somehow, dare I even write this in here, we have managed to avoid all kinds! I have no idea how but I am SOO SOOO THANKFUL for that!!

Then my birthday was the 22nd....and Mom and Dad D offered to take the girls overnight!! I don't know who was more excited, Ryan and I or the girls! They LOVE sleepovers! :) So we quick made plans to do something! :) We invited some other couple friends up to the lake and had a BLAST! We played games, played in the snow/walked on the lake at midnight, drank coffee slowly in pajamas in peace and quiet, had great adult conversation, went cross country skiing, laughed a ton, snowshoeing, and out for dinner! It was a GREAT night! Thanks so much to Grandpa and Grandma! We really appreciate time away to get rejuvenated! :)

And now we've had another 8 inches of snow today. As beautiful as it is....and as much as I love winter sports...I'm pretty sure I'm ready for some warmth and sunshine!!

Winter Fun and SKIING!

Ry and I kicked off the New Year hosting a "Mustache Bash" party. :) It was hilarious and super fun seeing everyone in different assortments of mustaches. :) Some were even natural! :) If you push Ry's
nose, his mustache and eyebrows would wiggle. Awesome. :) Here was our favorite guest. Baby Eloise sportin' a stache as well. :)

We had a bunch of celebrity stache's that people had to guess...here Ryan is revealing who was who. :)

And, a big change starting this year is that I started taking care of Baby Brie! :) Brie's parents go to our church and they needed someone to watch Brie from 2 -5 two days one week and then one day the next! I MISS having babies around and thought it would be fun for the girls to see all that is involved with having a baby around. They are all about it. I have lots of helpers taking turns feeding and keeping her happy. It's so cute hearing them talk to her too! :) Brie is a sweetie! :) Here's Hailey and Brie..

Then one day a couple weeks ago, I said the girls could each pick a friend to have over for a playdate. They loved it and had a ball with their little friends. Oh to be 5 again. :) Emily, Addison, Julia, Abby, Emily, and Lydia. :)

And, my baby Em is growing up SOOO FAST!!!! She lost her first tooth!!!!! A few weeks ago, she told me she had a loose tooth and I didn't really believe her but sure enough it was loose! Very loose! So I pulled it out....which was an adventure...but we did it and afterwards Em was so excited! Her sisters don't even have any loose teeth yet so she felt pretty cool being the first one to go through the whole tooth fairy experience and everything. So I don't forget :) , her tooth fairy gave her $5 and a pack of gum. :) Addison said "I wish I was Emily!" :) So cute.

Also this winter, the girls have been playing indoor soccer with their friend Isabelle. They absolutely love it. They keep saying they never want to stop and they want to do every session possible. Oh my! I may just be a soccer mom after all! But they are already improving which is pretty cool to see and they have so much fun running around and sweating. Then one weekend in January, Ryan and his dad were both out of town for work so my mother in law and I took the girls up to the lake! We hadn't been there in the winter and it was super fun! The lake was frozen over! Tons of people were ice fishing, playing broomball, ice skating, etc. We just had fun walking across! Here the girls are doing snow angels on the lake...

Then another weekend Ryan and I decided to take the girls skiing and teach them ourselves! Wowee is that a lot of work teaching 3 girls to ski! We were wiped but we all had a ton of fun! My little ski bunnies...

Then last weekend, we went 4 1/2 hours north to a ski resort with the whole Dooyema clan. :) Even though temps were in the negatives, we all had a great time!!

Here we took a sleigh ride to a BBQ at a lodge...

ERIN is getting so big!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE SKIING with my family!!! The girls already improved so much since the few weekends before when Ryan and I took them!

Addy! She was the first to go on the chairlift with me!! I was SO SO proud of her! They all did it four times and no one fell at all! I was shocked! I thought they'd be afraid of heights a little bit but nope! Addison was like "Look at the view Mom!" So proud of them!
