My little brother is married!!!

Congratulations Kyle & Heather! We are so happy for you guys!!!

Just a little background on how they met cuz I think it's pretty amazing...but Heather went out to Colorado (from Iowa) a couple summers ago to hang out with her birth dad and nanny for him....turns out she met Kyle and Kara (they're twins) at a party. She thought Kyle and Kara were engaged! But that night, Kara texted me and told her hubby that she was pretty sure that she had just met who Kyle was going to marry. That twin intuition and bond is amazing! :) So...Kara was right! :) And they are great together!! They are moving to Denver (right where the rest of my fam lives) after they honeymoon in Jamaica! (their wedding gift from my parents!) So fun!!
Anyway, so this wedding was BUUUSSYYY since Ryan and I were both standing up...AND the girls were all flower girls. That made it kinda tricky...but it all worked out thanks to the many people that took care of our girls! THANK YOU!!! We couldn't have done it without you!
The 8 hour ride out there on Thursday was actually pretty smooth! I'd say it was our best road trip yet with the girls so that is GREAT since now they like movies and we didn't have to stop to nurse or change diapers. :) Thursday night was the bachelorette party, then Friday my sister in law Laura and I watched the kiddos while everyone else helped set up the reception hall...and then Saturday was the big day! The girls did so great! They have been flower girls 3 times now...but this was the first time they actually dropped petals on the floor. They did really well though and came right on down like they were pro's or something. :) Hailey is all upset that she didn't drop ALL of her petals though so now she insists on dropping them ALL OVER our house. Oh well. :)
So overall it was a great trip and it was fun to see my whole family together. We're so happy for you Kyle & Heather and can't wait til you come to Wisconsin for the Packers/Broncos game this fall! (Heather is a HUGE Packers fan!) Love you!

These pics are all out of order...but here's a shot at a family pic!

Ry and his girls. We can't believe that the next Peters family wedding might just be ONE OF OUR GIRLS!!! AHHH!!
The girls LOVED being flower girls. They've done well as flower girls before...but this year, they actually "got it." They felt like little princesses and were so excited about all the details and everything. They didn't miss a thing!
Heather & Kyle and the 7 flower girls and 1 ring bearer. :)
MY SISTERS!!!!
kind of a funny pic of all the guys chasing the groom
We'll be married 8 years this June. Life is flying by!!
This is right after they saw each other for the first time. Aww..
And I had to throw a sister shot in here. Love you Sis!
And then Sunday night we stopped at my best friend Heather & Evan's house in Sioux Falls. Here the girls are with Tyler!! (EAH)
Oh and one little story about staying at Heather's house.....so the girls were sleeping in sleeping bags in a room downstairs. Ryan went down there cuz they were supposed to be sleeping but Emily was running around the room. So Ryan said he had to take her blankie away and put it in time out since she didn't listen. Emily of course, starts bawling and crying her heart out. Ry stood outside the door for a little bit and heard Hailey say to Emily.. "Em, I'll give you my blankie until Daddy comes back with yours okay? Then you can give mine back to me." Aww....those things MELT MY HEART!!! I love seeing them love each other!!!
Oh and one other random story from the wedding was that during the dance, one of the tables started on fire from a candle! The tablecloth was burning and smoke was everywhere. It just so happened that the fire started RIGHT NEXT to the only firemen in the whole place (my cousin Andrew and my cousin's husband Grant). So they got it under control right away...but it was pretty crazy.
That's about it! Hope you had a great weekend too!

May Fun

Hi! Well, we THINK Spring is coming! And we're SOOOO excited for the warmer weather let me tell you! I can't even tell you how much better life is when you can be outside. You should see how happy the girls are...and how happy I am! I feel like I have so much more energy too...fresh air is fabulous! Here's a little of what we've been up to:
The girls are all about having races. Here they are getting ready to run to the swings....
and the SWINGS. We LIVE on this swingset. Best $$ we ever spent! We spend SOOO much time on that thing and I have probably done a world record of "under-dogs" just this spring. They LOVE swinging but only at the highest height....so I pretty much never get a break from pushing! I'm so proud to say that Hailey actually FIGURED OUT HOW TO PUMP all by herself this week...and then Emily figured it out the following day! It's amazing how hard pumping actually is when you try to teach someone how to do it... :) But I'm so glad they're getting it now! And, I continue to be in awe over how different Emily & Hailey are...but how similar they are too. It is so interesting to me that with every gross motor skill, they are literally within a DAY apart of learning it. Emily crawled, next day Hailey. Emily walked, next day Hailey. Hailey pumps, next day Emily. CRAZY TO ME! (EAH)
Then today was BEAUTIFUL outside....so we had a little family game of baseball. It was so fun! They girls would take turns hitting the ball....then whoever was in the outfield would get the ball and then just chase them down...running full speed all over the backyard and into the neighbors' yard. They would've played for hours. But ma and pa got tired....so we sat out and I grabbed my camera...and then the girls played their own little version. Here's Hailey hammin' it up and getting ready to swing...
and here is her cheering section.....

And this pic makes me laugh. They were just sitting like this chatting like little old ladies. They weren't even posing for the pic. I love it that they'll grow up as such good friends!!!!
Does this count as running through the sprinklers if you have to take an umbrella with? :)
Hailey was still unsure about the sprinklers - even WITH the umbrella.

But once Hailey got a hold of the sprinkler, and could squirt other people, then she thought it was a BLAST and got soaked. :)

This is good livin'. :)

So, at the school auction this year, Ryan and I bid on having a group of 20 Something's (including Shane & Jody) :) , come over to our house to help with any project. Well we knew we needed mega help weeding and mulching! So...of course the day we picked to do this happened to be a day of down pouring rain!!! But they were SUCHH troopers and were awesome at helping us. It would have taken Ryan and I FOREVER to do what we did in a few hours...thanks SO much for your help everyone!! Here they are pulling GREAT weeds in the rain... :)
the girls were very helpful too. :) Good job Uncle Shane. :)
Ta da!!

The other day we went to the zoo with Elizabeth and Andrew. The girls LOVE them (and so do I) :) and they're so excited to be flower girls in their wedding in July....
random gorilla at the zoo. :)

Mother's Day Weekend

Hm...I'm not sure where all my words for this post went....bummer!
