First shopping excursion with mom...

Ohhhh boy.  Today we were on our own!  This morning I packed up the girls and we headed off to playgroup again this week which was really nice to get out.  We had fun hanging out over there and then I decided since we were right by Walmart, that I would try to survive the girls' first shopping excursion by myself.  :)  I brought the triple stroller along, carried my purse/diaper bag on my shoulder...and then had a teeny bit of room underneath the stroller for purchasing things. :)  Sure enough, I no more than got 2 of them out of the car and I already had an audience. :)  So many sweet people....but oh so many stares and so many questions.  Wow.  I just went with the hopes that I could walk up and down every aisle and the girls would nap the whole time.  It almost worked!  I just took my time and was stopped every other aisle or so....part of me felt like a famous person...and the other part of me felt like I was part of the circus.  It's just so funny that triplets seem so "normal" to me now since that's all I know but to everyone else, it really is a shocker to see a triple decker stroller!  Oh man.  I realized I couldn't really buy much since I had no free hands...but that was okay.  It was nice to just get out and to say that I've done it by myself now!  At one point, Addison started crying and I got a little nervous about what I would do since she doesn't like nuks and I couldn't take her out of the stroller because I had no where to put her!  But turns out, she was just tired so the stroller "rocked" her right to sleep.  Besides all the stares, questions, comments, and needing help carrying things out to the car, I felt like a normal person again because I could go shopping with my kiddos just like every other mom! :)  Woohoo! Then we came back home and I fed Addison and Hailey at the same time while Emily was still asleep in her carseat.  Not too shabby!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!  (The girls really are happy...really! Can't you tell they love their bunny ears?) :)
Here the girls are all dressed up and ready for their first day at church.  It was so special to take up a whole pew and worship God together.  I can honestly say we didn't hear much of the sermon though... :)  The girls all slept while we were singing....which was GREAT.  But as soon as the music stopped, they all woke up!  Ahh! :)  Hailey decided to fill her pants right away....then she got the hiccups....Emily and Addison got fussy at the same time....oh boy.  It was interesting...but so fun to have them there.  We just realized though that our lives are never going to be the same again.  Ryan and I usually like being under the radar but I guess it's kind of hard to do that when we walk in carrying three pink carseats. :)  We were exhausted after our big morning out and then an afternoon with friends so we all went to bed at 8:30 last night!

No more snow!

Addison and Dad lookin' at all the snow...
Good day for a nap...
Addy, Emily, Hailey
Cashed out! :)
Addison was a little scared of the camera. :)
The girls all ready to go to their first "playgroup" this week.  They had a blast and it was so nice to get out of the house!
Emily and Hailey watching March Madness and chatting about who is going to win. :)

Well, we had about 1 week with no snow and sunshine so we took advantage of that!  Today, we are snowed in with about 8 inches on the ground already!  Ahh!
Ryan has the day off though so we are just watching March Madness and hanging out with the girls.  We hope you all have a wonderful Easter as you celebrate the resurrection of our Savior! Easter is my favorite holiday and I'm even more excited this year because it will be the first time that we will be able to bring the girls to church.  I can't wait to praise God with my WHOLE family together for the first time!  Yay!

I LOVE SUNSHINE!!!

Sunshine is the best thing EVER.  It was SO nice here today!  Like 45 degrees!  So I went for a walk with the girls and some friends this morning, and then went for another walk with just me and the girls for an hour and a half this afternoon.  It was just GORGEOUS outside.  Blue sky...sunshine...snow melting...fresh air...ahhhh ....spring is (hopefully) just around the corner.  I absolutely cannot WAIT! We've been cooped up in this house for a little too long.  The girls LOVE riding in the stroller . Too bad I have them bundled up so warm that they can't really look at the surroundings yet...but soon enough.  They sleep the entire time we're out so it's so relaxing for me!  Not much else is new...I'm starting to feel like I can do more things on my own now so I'm SLOWLY starting to wind down having helpers here.  I did this afternoon by myself and it went okay!  I fed Addison and Hailey at the same time first and then tried to lay them down for a nap but then they started screaming the rest of the time while I fed Emily.  That's why we then hopped into the stroller so they would all sleep at the same time. :)  Ahh...peace and quiet. :)  I'm just so pumped for warm weather I can hardly stand it!

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!

I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS! The girls have ALLLL been taking an afternoon nap TOGETHER for the past hour and a half!  This is FABULOUS!!!!!  I'm trying to have them start to take a short morning nap TOGETHER and then an afternoon nap TOGETHER but usually they all get tired at different times.  So far today though, it is working out GREAT!  I feel so free!!!! :)  Better get some things done while I can!  Adios!

5 months today!

5 months old today - Wow.  It's going so fast!  The girls all just had another round of RSV shots today and they are getting humungous!  Addison now weighs 12 lbs. 8.5 oz.  Emily - 12 lbs. 2.5 oz. and Hailey is 12 lbs. 2 oz!  So big!  We are having so much fun with them now that they are interacting.  I think we have a real curious bunch over here though cuz they are always looking around, love facing outward, and don't want to miss a thing.  I get to have my "alone" time with each one of them when I get ready in the morning.  First I bring one of them up to hang out and watch me get ready while the other 2 play together downstairs.  Then one of the ones downstairs starts fussing so then I switch girls and bring the other one up to chat together while I curl my hair.  It makes getting ready in the morning quite the process but they do behave pretty well then.  I can't imagine the day that I'll need to do MY hair AND three other heads of hair!  Daddy is going to have to get really good at perfecting his "french braid' tactics. :)  Oh boy.  Here's a new pic of our 5 month old miracles.  Emily - Addy - Hailey :)
