Mixed Feelings

Hailey in the Jumperoo - Emily in the swing!

Emily - Addison - Hailey

Hi there!  So things have been moving right along over here.  The other day Addison and Hailey joined Emily in the being able to roll over excitement. :)  Only from stomach to back...but still a big deal! :)  They have been sleeping very good now too at night!  From like 9:30 p.m. til 6:30 or 7 a.m.!  Not bad at ALLLLL!!!  It feels so good to not have to get up...although I still find myself waking up in the middle of the night just cuz I was so used to it!  I have mixed feelings though lately cuz I really feel like the girls are growing up fast now!  It's like I can't wait for them to sit up or crawl or have hair or walk or whatever but I want to be able to hold them like this forever!  Because once the baby stage is over....it could be over forever for us!  Who knows... :)  The other day I did take Addison in to the Dr. because she had a rash all over her body so I guess it was some kind of viral rash that she got instead of getting a cold.  It already looks better now.  Otherwise, not much else is new over here.  I wish you could all see and hold them though.  They are growing SO fast!

Heat Wave

Addison K., Addison D., Owen, Hailey, Emily, and Avery  :)

Hey there!  We had a heat wave over here this weekend!  It was BEAUTIFUL out and sunny and Ryan and I had two nights out in a row!  A GREAT weekend! :)  Yesterday was in the 30's so Ryan and I both went for a run outside...and then we decided to bundle the girls up and go visit our good friends who are our neighbors.  They have 1 year old super cute twin girls and then a 3 year old boy.  Here's some pics of our 6 kids under the age of 3!  As you can tell it's hard getting everyone to look at the camera!  Make sure you notice Owen's cute shirt!

Happy Day

Wow - today is a big day - 27 for me! :)  Can't believe I'm actually 27 with 3 kids under the age of.....5 months! :)  Never would have thought.  But I couldn't be happier!  The girls are just so sweet and they are becoming so interactive and chatty now.  They talk a lot when they are awake and I even think we got a couple giggles from Addison and Hailey this morning!  So cute!  It seriously melts my heart - cheesy I know - but really, they do!! :)  So, last time I posted that the girls slept through the night.  Well, they only really did it one night.  Addison has been waking up every night at 3....then we just put a nuk in her mouth and she usually holds out again til 4...and then she wakes up again at 5.  ahh!  Emily and Hailey have been CHAMPS though and usually wake up at 6:15 which is SO AWESOME!  It's just getting Addison to get the hang of sleeping through the night now and then we'll be set!  Can't WAIT for that! 5:30 is just way too early to start my day.  I'm so pumped they can go from 10 til 6ish....that would be perfect.  It's just getting all 3 of them in the same boat! Not much else is new over here.  Our friends are babysitting tonight so Ryan and I can go out.  It will be SUCH a treat.  We haven't really had a date by ourselves since the girls were born!  I'll try to take some more pics and get some more up here.  The girls are just SO big!  They love being propped up to sit up now and look around.  It is just too cute.  Well, someone is crying.  Crazy how they know when I leave the room.  More later!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS????  THE GIRLS SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!  This date needs to go down in history since this is the first time I have slept through the night in 4 1/2 months!!!!!  Ryan and I thought we'd try to see if the girls could do it because we have a couple days to mess around with their schedule so we went to bed at 9:30 last night.  Ryan and I woke up throughout the night in disbelief that they were really still sleeping.  Then at 5:30 this morning, we both rolled over and looked at each other and Ryan said "This is the happiest day of my life."  We were so excited we could hardly stand it and we were so wide awake!  So we decided we better check to make sure the girls were actually still okay.....and then because I was about to EXPLODE, we decided to wake them up and feed them anyway.  So who KNOWS how long they could have gone but we figured 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep was FABULOUS!  We'd like to think they will do this every night from now on but that would be too good to be true. :)  We're just jumping for joy over here this morning!!  WE LOVE OUR GIRLS!!!!! :)

Happy Valentine's!

Happy Valentines from the girls! :)  Things are going well over here.  The girls are feeling much better - they still have lots of snotty noses but they don't look as miserable as they were before so that is great.  And, this morning, little Miss Emily rolled over like 7 times in a row!!!!  I think she has the hang of it!  She rolled from her stomach to her back.  The other girls are still getting used to the idea but it won't be long!  A couple days ago, we had a break from the snow so Kathy and I took the girls down to Racine to visit their Great Grandpa and Great Aunt Pauline. They had a blast and Kathy and I got to hit the outlet mall too while the girls were playing on the farm. :)  It felt SO good to get out of my house and the sun was even shining that day so it was such a treat! Other than that, not much else is new over here.  The days continue to go by so fast and the girls are getting so big!

God is Good

God is good.  I love how He continually gives us little glimpses of His grace throughout the day.  Last night, the girls actually slept pretty good considering that they can't breathe very well through their noses so I'm SO thankful for that since Ryan and I were both super super tired last night.  I'm also thankful that all THREE girls aren't sick at the same time....only two. :)  God also brought Ryan home safely from Des Moines in the terrible winter storm....  and He has blessed us with willing family and friends to help us out.  Our neighbors snow blowed for me while Ryan was gone too so that is SO nice.  Since this winter is becoming very long and cold and everything, I'm trying to focus on the positive and all that He has done for us and continues to do in even the littlest of ways.  Praise God for giving me the strength and the perseverance to do this!

Sick Babies....:(

:( :( :(  That's how I feel too!  I feel soooo sad for my baby girls!  Yesterday the girls had their 4 month dr's appointment and they are doing great for 2 month old babies.  They are 4 months old but are right on track for being 2 months old so that is great since they were preemies!  Their weight gain has been awesome the Dr. said and they are looking very good!  Believe it or not but little Emily now weighs 1 ounce more than big girl Addison - can you believe it?  She finally caught up. :)  But, the girls were extra fussy last night and Emily was up almost every hour all night long.  ahh!  In the morning I found out that all 3 girls had a fever which can be from the shots...but then Emily and Hailey ALSO have very stuffed up and runny noses.  I hate seeing them struggle to breathe through their noses!  Their eyes are all puffy and I just feel so helpless and so bad for them!  They haven't been themselves all day as they've pretty much slept all day long.  Poor girls! Hopefully it's just a small bug.... makes me regret taking them to the super bowl party.  Not sure where they got it....but it just makes me want to be extra careful again with germs since we had gotten more "lazy" about it since they had been doing so well!  AHH!  This Winter/Cold season is SO LONG! :)  Hopefully spring will be here VERY VERY soon. Please send up some prayers for my sick girlies and for Ryan and I as we get very little sleep!  Many thanks to God for keeping Ryan and I healthy this far.  I can't imagine being sick and trying to take care of the triplets at 2 a.m.  We hope you all will STAY HEALTHY!

4 months old!

The girls are 4 months old and wow!  We had a big weekend!  It's so great that they are getting older because we feel like we can slowly start to do more things.  Friday night I had some high school girls over because I miss seeing them all of the time.  Then Saturday, Ryan watched the girls while I went to the outlet mall with some friends to get the winter sales for the girls next year!  SO FUN!  :)  I can't imagine them fitting into some of the stuff but I'm sure they will grow! :) Then Sunday was the SuperBowl party and the girls' first big outing.  They did great at the party but unfortunately, Addison pooped through her matching outfit within minutes of getting there.  Silly girl.  They had fun mingling with their little boyfriends though who are actually 2 weeks younger then them!  I always think the girls are getting so big but when I compare them to other babies, they are still so small!  We had so much fun getting out with them though and hopefully we'll continue to do more of it once it warms up even more!

Playing "Shelly" :)

This made me smile. :)  Here is one of our friends' daughters Elise.  She has recently been caught playing "Shelly" where she carries around her 3 babies named Addison, Emily, and Hailey. :) She says it's pretty tough carrying 3 babies around!  That's right Elise! :)  So cute! :)

Double Digits

The girls are at 10 lbs!  Woo hoo!  Never thought we'd reach double digits but they made it!  It's so fun seeing their little rolls now.  The nurse came on Friday to weigh them and give them another RSV shot.  Only one more of those shots to go!  Then it will be SPRING!  We cannot WAIT for spring and summer over here.  I'm just dying to get out and go for a walk with my fancy dancy humungo stroller.  It will be so fun! :) Not much else is new over here....oh!  Except Emily rolled over TWICE!  Not sure if it was just a fluke thing but she rolled from her stomach to her back two days in a row.  They are growing up fast! :)
And, by the way, have I mentioned how incredibly GRATEFUL we are to all of the help we have received?  We would not be able to do this without all of the generous friends who have helped us out.  From the GREAT meals to those who help with the feedings or to those who come to give me some company, you are lifesavers!  We seriously thank and praise God for all of you so often.  We must sound like a broken record. :)  But we really are so thankful!  You are all a huge part in helping us raise the girls already.  Thank you!!!!!
