New 'puter!

Busy busy busy.  I can't even tell you how fast the days and weeks go by over here.  I feel like I get one hour of "free time" during the day and that's when I usually check email, relax, do laundry or whatever.  We said bye to Jody on Tuesday so now Ry and I get to do all the night feedings again.  We're very close to trying to let the girls sleep through the night or at least wake up once a night instead of at midnight and at 4 a.m.  I don't even remember what it feels like to sleep through the night!  It's been almost 4 months!  Crazy!  Things are going so well though.  The home health care nurse keeps saying that they are the healthiest preemies she's ever seen.  We're so thankful!!!!  So now the nurse will visit every other week since they are doing so well.  A week or two ago, Emily and Hailey got together and BOTH decided that they did not want to nurse anymore.  It was crazy!  All of the sudden they both started pushing away and crying like crazy after nursing for only 2 minutes.  Sooo....Addison loves it though so now she gets mom all the time. :)  I have really loved nursing so it makes me sad to stop with the other girls.  Plus now I feel like I see them less.  We'll see.  I might start winding down so that I can rotate giving breastmilk bottles to all of them.  :)  My goal was to nurse the triplets for 3 months minimum....and I'm almost to 4 months.  It's going by so fast!
Hmmm..what else.  Not much else is new over here I guess.  I honestly think the hardest part about having triplets is that I don't see my friends (or my hubby) as much anymore.  It's just a drastic life change.  I love every minute of it but it is different getting used to not having a big social life anymore!  Just when I get a minute to be able to talk on the phone, I don't feel like talking!  Oh well... :) It's been such a blessing having helpers from church come over though.  Makes me feel like I'm getting out!  Well, I've rambled long enough and better get to the kiddos.  Have a great day everyone!

My future sister in law Jody!!  I love her!

GO PACK GO!

GOOOOO PACKERS!!!!! Our 3 little cheerleaders did a fab job last Saturday as they cheered on their Packers in style in their Packer onesies and Packer socks. :) So far, they are good luck! So they'll be sporting their outfits again this Sunday for the big game. Go Pack Go! :) Sorry the blog updates have been lacking the past couple of days. Our computer died and when our computer doesn't work, then our phone doesn't work either so sorry to anyone that may have called! So we're on the hunt for a new computer.
Soon to be "Auntie" Jody is graciously taking time off of work to help out with the girls this week so we're having a blast together and enjoying our 4 a.m. girl talks. :) We made the trek out to Grandma's house today to hang out and check my email! The next blog update might not be for a little while! But nothing to worry about as the girls are doing great. Emily has had some trouble going #2 :) as she waits about 5-6 days in between filling her diaper...but she doesn't act irritable or anything so hopefully she's okay. They are all growing so fast and love to hold their heads up now and are getting the strongest little legs. They are smiling more and more everyday too! So fun!

Hailey sitting pretty! :)

Grandma Kathy working on feeding two at a time! :) Great job, don't ya think? :)

Back to Reality

Well, now we're on our own again! Well - kind of. :) All of my family has gone back home now so Ryan and I get to do all the night feedings by ourselves again. Ryan is not too excited about this as he loves his sleep! Well, I do too....but I think I'm just getting used to being up all the time. It was such a treat to have extra hands to help with the night feedings though. It would go by much quicker. But my sister left this morning and then 2 women from church came to help today which was so nice. They were a big help and it was fun to chat with people that I don't always get to talk to and learn from. All of the new scheduled help will be so fun - and it really is such a blessing. The home health care nurse came today and all the girls are now over 8 lbs! I couldn't believe it but Emily and Hailey weighed 7 lbs 8.5 oz last week...and then this week I thought for sure one of them would out weigh the other but they BOTH weighed 8 lbs 1/2 oz!!!! They are identical even to the half ounce! Who does that? :) Addy now weighs 8 lbs 11 oz so they are getting closer in weight!
These days just fly by though. Between feedings, laundry, rocking crying babies, rotating holding crying babies, bath time, etc....the days just go by so fast! It's 5:30 now and I can't wait for Ryan to come home - but I feel like it should be 11 a.m. :)
Here's a picture of how I do it when I need to soothe 3 babies at once. :) It IS possible! :) (And yes, there are 3 babies in that picture. You can't see Addison.) :) And then there's a pic of Addison in the tub (sink) :)

3 months

I can't believe the girls are already 3 months old. The time is going by so fast and they are growing up so quickly! The girls are JUST barely beginning to smile and coo now so that's been really fun. :) Addison weighs 8 lbs. 6 oz. and Hailey caught up to Emily as they are BOTH 7 lbs 8 oz now! Yay! The girls are doing much better at night. We consider it an AWESOME night when my alarm has to go off at midnight and at 4 a.m. to wake them up to eat. It's so fun because they are starting to have more awake time and "playtime" in the day. I love the way they just look at us! We hope you all had a wonderful New Year. My sister and her boyfriend were sweet enough to watch the girls so Ryan and I could go out for New Years Eve. It was so nice to get out of the house! :) My whole family has headed back to Denver now except for my sister. It will be a sad day when she leaves as everyone has been SO MUCH help. I really was spoiled for the month of December and now it's back to reality. I have gotten used to having someone else do the dishes and the laundry and the girls have gotten used to the extra love and attention! We are trying so hard to keep the girls from getting sick but when my whole family was here, my dad had a head cold and my brother was really sick. When he got home, we found out my brother had strep throat AND mono! Horrible! Poor guy is feeling a little better now but wow...not a fun Christmas break for him. I just hope the girls don't get it as well. Emily did get an eye infection but hopefully nothing else! All of us girls got new velour jumpsuits for Christmas. Lookin' good! :)
Tyler (their new boyfriend, born 2 weeks after they were born) and the girls. :) I wonder who is going to run around who! :)
The girls at playtime! Always someone to play with!
